Charles Buechele
About Me
Charles Buechele was born in 1985 in Seattle, Washington, but his life has been anything but static, moving from place to place and collecting stories along the way. Despite a rocky start with reading, thanks to a clever trick by his older sister, eight-year-old Charles discovered the magic of books and never looked back.
Initially drawn to the wonders of nature, he studied entomology and botany in college. However, his passion for storytelling led him to switch paths, earning a bachelor's degree in English and Art, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. Now settled in Texas with his wife, trio of quirky cats, and an ever-growing jungle of houseplants, Charles crafts tales that captivate and inspire.
Charles also writes and publishes a variety of fun, quirky, and spooky children's books under the playful pen names Achelles Ubreech and Esau C. Helbelcher, two rival author-illustrators. These alternate identities allow him to explore different worlds and storytelling styles, bringing joy and a touch of spookiness to young readers everywhere.
