Tamieka Porter is a Jamaican-born poet, novelist, educator, successful Health and Life Coach, book cover designer, independent publisher and counselor. 2019 was a transformational period for her. That year, she found Dr. Sydney McGill an incredible man, her coach, who has helped to redirect her path.

Dr. McGill advised her to take time out for herself, find something she found pleasure in and work on developing her interest. Then, he encouraged her to meditate, and she started listening to influential speakers such as Tyler Perry, Les Brown, Jim Rohn, Myles Monroe, Oprah Winfrey, and Tony Robbins.

After doing so for a few months, her writing inspiration came through her inner voice during meditation. Then the woman who has been her greatest inspiration, God sent, ‘Mom’ she calls her; she told her, ‘Stop procrastinating; just start writing.”

The book: The Wedding Scammer Finds True Love is Tamieka’s second book but the first to be published.

During an interview by Dr. McGill, a young lady said: “I cried while reading this book because this book is about my life. So, thank you, Tamieka, for letting me know my life can change.”

Her observations and interactions with people over the years have influenced her to help many people, especially children reach their true potential despite their limitations or struggles in life. She hopes to continue to do so through her books.
