Homelessness is a national problem and no city or area is immune. Understanding the reasons for this problem is difficult for many adults to comprehend, so it's only natural that children can feel confused or even fearful when confronted with the homeless. Helping children understand some of the reasons for homelessness is the primary basis for this story.
