About Me

My name is Cameron Crafton. I am an author originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and I currently live in Georgia with my wife, Martha, and our son, Louie. I write adult dark and epic fantasy focused on morally complex characters, political conflict, inherited injustice, and the ways powerful institutions disguise cruelty as order. Lithina is the first novel in my Songs of Estana series.

The second novel in the Songs of Estana series, A Garden of Snakes, releases on June 8th. I am also currently writing the third novel of the series, An Academy of Lies (Release Date Pending).

I first pursued writing more than a decade ago and published an early novel under a pen name. Life eventually pulled me away from it, and for years I wondered whether I had permanently abandoned the thing I had always wanted to do. Eventually, I returned to writing and began building Lithina. It became my re-debut and the beginning of a much larger fantasy series. Finishing it reminded me that a delayed dream is not necessarily a dead one.
